Bus Of The Week
Have you ever wondered what it is like to ride a bus to camp? You should ask one of the buses that recently won bus of the week. Bus of the week can be earned for many different reasons, some of which include: being spirited, being organized, having fun, being friendly, and inclusive. Our “spies” ride the buses each week looking out for all of these different things. On Fridays at dismissal it is tradition that Yomi Bear appears at camp and helps announce the bus of the week winners. If your camper’s bus wins Bus of the Week, make sure to congratulate them – it’s a big deal in our world!
Group 3 Blog:
Another week, another five fun-filled days at Camp Yomi! On Monday, Group 3 had so much fun watching The Emperor’s New Groove with all of our friends and then we laughed so hard at Improv and sang some of our favorite tunes in the gazebo at Music with Nelson. On Tuesday, we learned all about the different parts of Israel at Jewish Culture and we made clay snowmen in Ceramics. To celebrate Yomi Bear’s Bash on Wacky Wednesday, we had an awesome freeze dance and limbo party, and made our own goodie bags. Group 1 started off Thursday by learning the beginning to the amazing Yomi Idol dance–they were naturals! Later, we made treasure maps at Painting and Drawing and planted carrot seeds in the garden! Group 3 wrapped up this week with no ordinary Shabbat–it was Israel Day! The group enjoyed learned all about the different parts of Israel and participating in activities run by our amazing Israeli staff.
