Bus Of The Week
Have you ever wondered what it is like to ride a bus to camp? You should ask one of the buses that recently won bus of the week. Bus of the week can be earned for many different reasons, some of which include: being spirited, being organized, having fun, being friendly, and inclusive. Our “spies” ride the buses each week looking out for all of these different things. On Fridays at dismissal it is tradition that Yomi Bear appears at camp and helps announce the bus of the week winners. If your camper’s bus wins Bus of the Week, make sure to congratulate them – it’s a big deal in our world!
Group 1 Blog:
The Happy Hot Air Balloons made the most of this wonderful (and rainy!) week at Camp Yomi. They grooved their way into Monday watching The Emperor’s New Groove with their other friends at camp, and then they showed off their keen eyesight in the afternoon, looking for bugs at Gardening. On Tuesday, they let their imaginations run wild while they came up with new things to build in Imagination Playground. Later, they had the opportunity to relax and learn some new fun poses at Yoga. Group 1 celebrated Yomi Bear’s Bash on Wacky Wednesday, where they got to play freeze dance and make their own goodie bags. Thursday brought along more dancing as they learned the Yomi Idol dance to “Try Everything” from Zootopia. The group finished off the week with Israel day, where they learned all about Israeli culture through fun games and trying out new food.
