Hi, group 22 superstars! We had another amazing week filled with joy and laughter. We started off on Monday with an exciting craft making activity in arts and crafts! From there, we jumped right into instructional swim, where we practiced and learned new swimming skills. We then made our way to play Gaga and then to take our group picture. After free swim, we finished the day with an hour of Yomi-lectives, where the kids explored their passions and let their talents shine. We had a creative start to Tuesday when we happily created ceramic monsters or creatures. Afterward, we had instructional swim, which was super exciting and rewarding. We can already see improvement! We continued the day with coding, where our campers flapped through each level of flappy bird. After free swim, we played a game of knock out at basketball. We shot over to a relaxing period of music with Nelson, where the kids helped make beautiful instrumental music. We enjoyed seeing you all and playing improv games on parent night. Our first ever Wacky Wednesday was a blast. Everyone’s costumes were incredible. Our day was filled with potato sack races, game challenges and more. Unit 3 was in for a treat as we were able to play lots of games (like kickball) and had fun running through the field and sprinklers. On Thursday, we practiced photography, learning new skills such as using birds-eye perspective with a scavenger hunt. We then headed off to sprinklers for more fun and games. After lunch, we were able to unwind with some jewelry making. At free swim, we played a giant game of tag with the whole group. Friday was filled with enthusiastic singing at our Shabbat service and exciting activities such as gymnastics, cooking and pop fit kids. Overall, we had an amazing and creative week, and we are looking forward to even better weeks to come.
Our beautiful campgrounds have over 50 acres of grass, courts, and fields to play on. With over 12 active activities, our campers are sure to get in the game! Our sports activities are coached by professional sports organizations and instructors such as; The Baseball Center, Tennis Innovators, and Super Soccer Stars.
This week, Fly Yoga instructors coached campers on how to create stories using only body movements. Campers dribbled down the court at basketball, learning special reasoning on the court.
Unit 3 and 4 campers have the option of joining the weekly Sports Club activity for even more sports in their schedule. During Sports Club, campers enhance their skills, receive extra practice time and specialized instruction.
Counselor of the Week
Every week we choose an extraordinary staff member(s) from each unit who exemplifies all five of our camps’ core values. We look for someone who is compassionate, mindful, courageous, a leader, and most importantly an overall mensch! These individuals go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure smiling, laughter, and safe summer fun! These handful of super counselors get the esteemed honor of being Counselor of the Week.
