“Actives” at Camp:
Our beautiful campgrounds have over 50 acres of grass, courts, and fields to play on. With over 12 active activities, our campers are sure to get in the game! Our sports activities are coached by professional sports organizations and instructors such as; The Baseball Center, Tennis Innovators, and Super Soccer Stars.
This week, Fly Yoga instructors coached campers on how to create stories using only body movements. Campers dribbled down the court at basketball, learning special reasoning on the court.
Unit 3 and 4 campers have the option of joining the weekly Sports Club activity for even more sports in their schedule. During Sports Club, campers enhance their skills, receive extra practice time and specialized instruction.
Counselor of the Week
Every week we choose an extraordinary staff member(s) from each unit who exemplifies all five of our camps’ core values. We look for someone who is compassionate, mindful, courageous, a leader, and most importantly an overall mensch! These individuals go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure smiling, laughter, and safe summer fun! These handful of super counselors get the esteemed honor of being Counselor of the Week.
Group 4 Blog:
Group 4’s Rockin’ Raindrops had an amazing week! They especially had so much fun at our first Wacky Wednesday. Their amazing experience didn’t start just then, as we had so much fun on Monday painting and drawing, saw some incredible circus stunts at Circus Arts, and learned how to shoot hoops at Basketball. We can’t forget one of the most favorite part of our day: swimming! Campers learned new swim strokes at instructional swim and played with our friends splashing around afterwards. On Tuesday we had Zumba, where we danced to our group’s favorite tunes. We also hit the ball out of the park playing baseball and ended the day with a little workout at Pop Fit Kids. On Wednesday, the campers had so much fun with the special Wacky Wednesday activities, such as being a part of a silly game show! They especially enjoyed seeing their counselors dressed up as Goldilocks and the Three Bears. On Thursday, we tumbled through gymnastics and then showed our creativity at Photography. On Friday, we especially enjoyed the delicious grape juice and challah at Shabbat. We were so happy that the Rockin’ Raindrops had a fun filled and energetic day and are looking forward to the next week!
