“Actives” at Camp:
Our beautiful campgrounds have over 50 acres of grass, courts, and fields to play on. With over 12 active activities, our campers are sure to get in the game! Our sports activities are coached by professional sports organizations and instructors such as; The Baseball Center, Tennis Innovators, and Super Soccer Stars.
This week, Fly Yoga instructors coached campers on how to create stories using only body movements. Campers dribbled down the court at basketball, learning special reasoning on the court.
Unit 3 and 4 campers have the option of joining the weekly Sports Club activity for even more sports in their schedule. During Sports Club, campers enhance their skills, receive extra practice time and specialized instruction.
Counselor of the Week
Every week we choose an extraordinary staff member(s) from each unit who exemplifies all five of our camps’ core values. We look for someone who is compassionate, mindful, courageous, a leader, and most importantly an overall mensch! These individuals go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure smiling, laughter, and safe summer fun! These handful of super counselors get the esteemed honor of being Counselor of the Week.
Group 3 Blog:
This week started off great as the Astro Aliens observed and learned about difference plants in Gardening. All week long the pool served as our blissful escape from the heat and we swam like fish in the pool! We sang songs and played instruments at Music with Nelson and made sure to say “Cheese!” and give our best smiles during picture day. Wacky Wednesday was a blast as we came to camp dressed up in our best storybook costumes and participated in activities like searching for crayons in The Day the Crayons Quit Search and made our own Hungry Caterpillar Paper Chain! We had so much fun singing and dancing during Shabbat on Friday. The grape juice and challah was a delicious treat that helped us fuel up for a great morning. We can’t wait to continue to learn, explore and have fun next week!
