The DO School was busy preparing its new campus and global headquarters for a wonderful evening last Monday, March 14, as part of 92Y’s 7 Days of Genius global events series.
The night celebrated three different occasions – each of which tied directly into the #thatsgenius ethos core to the 92Y 7 Days of Genius festival. One of the reasons to celebrate was the evening saw venture pitches by our current crop of Fellows. In three minutes, they tried to rally up audience (and impact investor!) support for their ventures tackling some of the most pressing global issues.
Brought together from 15 countries around the world for our Connection Challenge, given by Messe Berlin – each Fellow’s venture has moved through the DO School Method to now be ready for launch once they return home. When they do they will join a network of over 240 DO School Fellow ventures in 70+ countries.
Our second driver for celebration was our official public launch of our brand new campus in Berlin. Followers of the DO School may remember that our last full campus in Hamburg –served us incredibly well. We’re now happy to report that we are in similarly comfy and inspiring digs in Berlin.
And finally, we’re proud that our event served as one of the closing events to the global 7 Days of Genius festival. With events on every continent save for Antarctica it is fantastic to be able to bring our programs for innovation and skills-oriented education into such a diverse and impactful array of programs dedicated to cultivating genius.
