B5 had an amazing time on our third week of camp! The Meteorites started off the week with some Nature activities, where we caught plenty of ants to create the perfect ant-utopia. We marched forward with a crazy competitive game of Frisbee, where everyone had an awesome time! For our last day at camp for the week, we had our first shot at baseball where plenty of home runs had our campers run the bases. Finishing up the day with a refreshing run through the sprinklers we headed home and got ready for the awesome overnight ahead. Our first overnight trip had us head over heels in lake fun, archery activities, volleyball games and a fun trip to the petting zoo! Our campers were awesome and finished up a cool first day away from the city with some s’mores and friendly cheers back and forth with the other group. Starting up the day with a delicious breakfast, we headed up to Camel Back and had a water-soaked blast trying out the different slides they had to offer. After having an awesome time in the wave pool, we headed back into the city to rest up for the next week. We’re looking forward to all the awesome activities and fun new things we’ll try!
The third week of camp kicked off with an intense but fun game of ultimate frisbee which the kids put a lot of energy and excitement to the game. Afterwards we had baseball, it was a match where kids and counselors excelled at bat. This was also the second week of majors which the kids enjoyed. On Tuesday we had picture day, which took full advantage of and showed their large smiles while “cheesing” to the flash of cameras. On Wednesday, the group had archery first period, where they improved their skills of reloading and shooting an arrow from the quiver, in second period the group had pioneering; this unique experience was a teaching moment for the kids to use games to teach them important skills in communication, accommodating to different ideas, and teamwork in complicated situations. Because the pool was drained near the end of the day, the kids took to running into the sprinklers (while trying to pull counselors toward the cold water), and even started playing touch football. On Thursday we all left to camp Piemere where we enjoyed dance classes, swimming in the lake, tennis, and rope courses. On Friday we enjoyed the water rides an t camel-beach. Overall; the kids grew closer together and enjoyed every moment to the fullest.
Hello B3! On Monday, we had so much fun at coding and lacrosse in the morning and majors and minors after lunch! On Tuesday morning we played our hardest in GaGa and soccer, and in the afternoon we got to enjoy our minors. On Wednesday, we participated in tennis and Krav Maga in the morning before heading to our majors. Each day we were able to cool down and practice our strokes twice a day in swim. On Thursday we went to Pinemare camp and got a chance to pet and carry farm animals. We also did our best to keep up with the dance instructor as well as challenging ourselves on the high ropes course. Ultimately we had a good time swimming and kayaking in the lake. On Friday, we spent our day at Camelbeach and had a great time on the lazy river and the wave pool.
The Omegaladons of B1 started week three fully revitalized from the weekend! On Monday we greeted our new members and headed off to tennis! After running around on the court, we headed to the shade to take a class on coding. We then all walked to the pool for the first instructional swim of the week. For lunch we had some delicious baked ziti which was almost all devoured before my co-counselor had a chance to dig in! After lunch we all separated to go to our respective majors. After our majors we gathered on the field and went to free swim, where many of our campers enjoyed the waterslide for the first time this summer. After swimming, we dried off and hopped back on our busses. Tuesday started off with a special event as we gathered in the amphitheater for our group picture! We hurried to our next activity, nature, where we got a tour of the campgrounds, often stopping to inspect the interesting flora around us. After our nature walk, we gathered our things and headed to the pool once again for instructional swim. For lunch on Tuesday we had chicken fingers and string beans, and once again many plates were cleared by our campers before my co-counselor and I had a chance to sit down and eat! With full stomachs and smiling faces, we all went off for our minors. We wrapped up the day with free swim, which turned out to be the final free swim of the week. On Wednesday we escaped the heat in the morning by going to jewelry making, where our campers made custom bracelets. We then headed to the basketball courts for a rousing game of knockout! After basketball, we were all happy to jump in the pool for instructional swim. For lunch we had make-your-own veggie pizza, and this time my co-counselor and I were wise enough to divide the food among the campers before it was all gone. We then went to our majors for the last time this week. Unfortunately the pool was being cleaned during our last free swim, but we all put on our bathing suits and ran, jumped, and slid through the sprinklers at the campsite! Finally, on Thursday we all hopped on our busses and headed to Pinemere for the first day of our overnight trip. We ate turkey sandwiches on the bus, and as soon as we arrived we headed to the ropes course! After a quick break, we participated in dance, made animal friends at the farm, and jumped in the lake for some fun times on the inflatable rafts. We closed out the day with pasta and smores by the fire!
The campers have been lovely throughout the week and my co-counselor and I are happy to be working with the campers!

Happy second week of camp! G5 has been enjoying their title as group of the week! On Monday, we got to know each other more as new campers entered this week. At filmmaking, we played fun games like what’s your favorite animal and color. On Tuesday, we had picture day and all the ladies looked stunning. The smiles were contagious. Look out for those pictures! On Wednesday, we started the beautiful day off with evos. This is when we learned a new game called 123 and we did not stop playing. Of course we played a few games of Uno. What’s camp without a good game of Uno? On Thursday, we arrived at Pinemere and there were so many activities. The activities ranged from Farming to Rock Climbing. On Friday, we arrived at Camelbeach. This was an amazing waterpark. The ladies enjoyed the lazy river and the wave pool. Can’t wait for next week with G5.
Hellooooo Terrific Triceratops! This week the triceratops climbed high on the climbing tower and some even conquered some fears!! After showing off their big smiles for picture day, the triceratops made flower ceramic dishes. Also the triceratops continued with their majors and minors while exploring their interests on a personal level! After a long day of activities the triceratops got to run in the sprinklers where the war between the counselors and the campers began! To finish off the week, the triceratops swam in the lake at Pinemere where the kids could kayak and paddle board! Camelback was amazing!! Everyone had an awesome time on all the water rides! Have a great weekend G4 see you Monday!!!
This week G3 had a blast on Monday from jewelry making and basketball to their majors. They were very surprised by the intruder drill, but handled it very well. Tuesday there were some nervous campers on the climbing tower but all the other girls were very supportive of each other and after we took a beautiful group picture. For minors most of us were together in ceramics but everybody enjoyed resardless of what they chose. Wednesday we had outdoor ceramics in the morning which was a blast because of how familiar they all are with the instructor and vice versa. Gardening followed and they had the chance to see baby birds in a nest. For free swim we ended up running around in the sprinklers which was eventful to say the least. Campers from other groups were chasing down counselors and many of my girls enjoyed the spectacle. Thursday came and my girls were listening, participating and just fully taking advantage of their camp experience. The girls loved the lake the most, but dance was definitely a close second. They were so into it they looked like pros. During “adventure” a camper got scared at the top, but the rest of the girls were there for her to make her feel better. S’mores was a great way to round it all off, they cheered and played and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Friday is camelbeach and the girls are beyond excited. This is what they’ve been waiting for all week. My girls plan on continuing this superb behavior to finish out the trip strong.
This week has been absolutely eventful for the wonderful dinos of the Awesomesaurus. Monday started us off with majors. On Tuesday, these dinos had a thrilling adventure on the high ropes. You would not believe how many of these dinos were able to climb to the top successfully at such a fast pace! On Wednesday, we all channeled our inner Elza in film making. There were many awesomely different ice poses and dances done, it felt like we were filming Frozen 2! Thursday started our overnight trip on to a good start. Pinemere Camp was so beautiful and just absolutely breath taking! These dinos meant the alpacas and chickens that vacate the farm at Pinemere. It was so scary, but oh so fun! We even got to name and rename all the nice chickens. At the end of the night, Yomi Seniors got to gather around a campfire to cook up some delicious s’mores. We definitely wanted some more s’mores! Last but not least, on Friday we had a fabulous time at Camelbeach Water Park. Our dinos are such great swimmers! Our favorite part was the wave pool because it moved so much so we needed a lot of strength to swim. Some of the other water rides were a little scary, but we conquered our fears like true champs. We had such a great time this week, so much so that we’re very sad it’s over. Hopefully, we can go back to these wonderful places. Until next time!
This week in Yomi Seniors, the Radiant Raptors experienced their first zip lining experience of the summer. On Monday, we also had camp picture day! The girls also had their fair share of sports this week. On Tuesday, we enjoyed soccer, and the next day, we engaged in an intense game of Knockout at basketball. On Wednesday, instead of free swim, as usual, we got to have fun in the sprinklers! Our group also had their second week of majors and minors, which included ceramics, photography, Laugh it Out, Zumba, studio art, and Legorobotics. On Thursday, we began our first overnight at Pinemere Camp. There we completed a ropes course, swam in a lake, hung out with alpacas and goats, and made homemade mosquito repellent. On our last day this week, we spent our time at the wave pool and intense water slides. Well, Radiant Raptors, this was an adventurous week!
